At Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, the Civil Engineering Department drives innovative research with its modern laboratories and state-of-the-art software and computing methods. In the contemporary era, Computer Science has become integral to virtually every engineering field, including Civil Engineering. Rapid advancements in fundamental computing technologies necessitate that upcoming engineers remain adept at leveraging computing capabilities for processing information, managing and analyzing extensive datasets, tackling intricate engineering challenges, and modeling complex engineering systems.
Through our BE in Civil Engineering with Computer Application program, our objective is to instill cutting-edge skills in applying computers to the field of civil engineering. Our meticulously designed curriculum aims to empower students with proficiency in soft computing techniques applicable across various domains, including infrastructure planning and design, construction, smart and sustainable cities, and environmental concerns. Upon successful completion of the program, students have the opportunity to pursue careers in computer engineering, the application of computers in civil engineering, or core civil engineering roles.
